Based in Mangum, Oklahoma, the Greer County Economic Trust Authority was created as a direct result of Greer County’s decision to take advantage of the hotel/motel tax in order to further economic growth.
The passing of hotel/motel tax meant that half of all revenue from the tax went into the Greer County general fund, with the remaining half set aside for use to support economic growth throughout the county. As such, the Greer County Economic Trust Authority was formed, with the strict purpose of guiding and directing the investment of these funds for the benefit of the Greer County economy.
